Storing Suzi for the Winter

We've already had our first rain, but it's over and
I can eke out a few more days of riding. But some time
in November, Savage Suzi will need to find a place
to hibernate, at least until March or April.
I know, this is California, and I could ride out the
winter, but the roads are slippery, the drivers
are in a hurry and occasionally it freezes. Plus,
I have a car, even thought I haven't used it much
this summer.

My problem is that I don't have indoor storage. I'm
looking at an arrangement of tarps, etc. Is there
someone out there that has done this before and could
tell me what they discovered.

Right now, I'm thinking of using a blue tarp, with
some space, and a sheet or a real honest-to-Buddha
motorcycle cover underneath. There might even be
a motorcycle cover that will do the job by itself.
But which one is it?

Any ideas/advice?

Thanks
Mike
